One Amazing Week

Last Tuesday, a small team of people met to see what was possible for events with Maharaji this week. The outcome - two events were confirmed - yippee!  In Bilbao, in the Northern Basque region of Spain, and in Calpe, a coastal town on the Mediterranean, preparations were underway.

On Wednesday, the news was spread wide and far, and people launched into preparing for the events, and their travels.  A bus and a van were rented, and a road trip began from Barcelona, travelling north via Zaragoza and Vitoria, to Bilbao - a beautiful city dedicated to the arts.

On Friday evening in Bilbao, Maharaji spoke to a packed and overwhelmingly excited auditorium of people.  Locals from Bilbao have been inviting Maharaji to come, and this time, their invitation was accepted.

For Luis, Virginia, Pepe, some of the local residents we interviewed, it was "Thank you, thank you, thank you!"

A drive to the Mediterranean town of Calpe, via Zaragoza and the orange groves of Valencia, and people were sparkling with delight in hearing the message of Maharaji.

Welcome to Buenos Aires!

In preparation for the events with Maharaji this weekend in Buenos Aires, we arrived here yesterday. The five crew including me, and 17 suitcases travelled for over 24 hours (by car and plane) to be here, ready to capture the events in high definition.

Today we were driving around the airport watching and then a plane landed - so nice to know Maharaji is here, and there are events happening this weekend! Tonight, we visit the venue to check out the lighting for the stage and the audience. For me, preparing for events with Maharaji is... fun.

Fun preparing for the Event in Dausa

Here are a couple of pix of the Dausa event preparations.

Dausa is a small city about 55km from Jaipur in Rajasthan. 50,000 or more are expected at the event which is happening in the morning.

on the Road...

Today we have driven 320km from Delhi to Dausa, in Rajasthan.  The setup for the event is already underway. 

People are travelling from the surrounding villages on foot, bicycles and tuk tuks - most people come on tractor trucks and buses. 

One of the biggest tasks in setup up the event is assembling the screen.  The screen allows everyone to see Maharaji - no matter if they are sitting at the back of the crowd.

So many elements to an event are about the comfort of the people who come.  Events are sometimes held in the morning, because it is cooler.  People who want to help come early, and can be seen in groups stretched out across the field, collecting stones, so that the ground is smoother, and more comfortable.  Then mats are laid over the whole field, so people have something nice to sit on.

The Warmth Within

Dallas was cold - very, very cold!  Being Australian, I have never seen icicles hanging from cars, ice on the roof of the hotel, yet not a flake of snow.  It was probably the coldest I have ever experienced. 

I felt overwhelmingly warm.  Filled with the warmth, excitement and love in my heart.  I got stranded in Dallas after the event, due to the weather.  My flight was cancelled for two days.  Only one thing to do - indulge!  Indulge in the sweet warmth and remembrance of the most powerful gift... and appreciate. 

"There is nothing like listening to the message of the heart that warms you up - from inside."

Yep.  I'd have to agree with that.

A Plane Full...

Looking back from my seat, the plane was full of people who enjoy seeing Maharaji - they are flying here at the last minute for the event tomorrow.

Smiles I saw, not just on faces, but in the eyes of so many.

We landed in Dallas, after a short (about 20min) delay due to weather. It's so so so cold here! Not what I thought Texas would be like. Nice people here. The waiter said - "If you don't like the weather, wait an hour..." Sounds a bit like Australia at certain times of the year. Four seasons in one day.

Events Everywhere - Take Off!

2006 up to today:

Maharaji addressed people at 21 events across India, followed by events in Barcelona, New York, Montreal, Hamburg, Los Angeles, Vancouver, Knoxville, Malmo, Marseille, Cotonou, Tenerife, Brighton, Dublin, Copenhagen, Birmingham, Torino and Barcelona. 

Phew!  Everywhere - people listening, people appreciating. 

Today?  In Delhi, preparing for a 3 day event celebrating Maharaji's 40th anniversary as a teacher!

Many languages, one message.  Common understanding.  Feeling life.  Knowing truth.

What is real?  Ask your heart.

Vancouver to Knoxville

Yesterday, we travelled from Vancouver to Knoxville, an all day, all night trip.  We left the hotel in Vancouver at 9am, both flights were delayed, so the wheels finally touched the tarmac in Knoxville at midnight.   Applause! 

As we disembark, I snap a photo for the blog... Welcome to Knoxville. 

A cheerful, flag-waving welcome from Melissa, Debbie and co, who sweetly stayed awake to meet us at such a late hour (I missed that shot).

We realize 2 suitcases were left on the tarmac in Washington... darn!  No clean clothes, no toothbrush til tomorrow.

Drive to the hotel, reporting the missing suitcases on the way.  At 1:30am, get some sleep ~ excited!

Tonight the set up for the Knoxville event starts.  Maharaji will be speaking here tomorrow evening!

Full Heart in Montreal

Three days ago, Maharaji spoke at an event in Montreal!  We travelled there the day before, slept then set up the stage and equipment for the event that day.  Event days are nourishment for me.

It felt like he was speaking just to me, saying:

"When the heart is full, there is a simplicity in that. When the heart is full, there is a clarity in life."

My heart was full.  Then, we packed up, ate dinner, slept and left the hotel at 5.30am, on to the next event!

All I can say is - MORE, MORE, MORE!!!!

Travel to Barcelona

I fly from LA to Barcelona via London for the Barcelona Event...

Time in transit: 32 hours

I was in Barcelona for 4 days, Maharaji was on stage for 12 hours (over 3 days).
Maharaji met with some people to express his vision and understanding about the incredible things that are happening.

He also spoke at an event for people with Knowledge and those viewing the Keys (great event, click here to read).

Then, back to LA for 2 days.

We check-in at the airport in Barcelona, and the lady refuses to check our baggage thru to LA (we had 6 bags between 2 people, plus cameras and hand bags). We fly via London, clear customs with a 45 min change over, collect our bags, RUN to the next flight, re-check our bags, and just breathe as we make the plane - barely.

Arrive in LA, again, priorities are simple. Confirm next travel arrangements, re-pack equipment, do laundry and sleep!
