Today Maharaji accepted an invitation to officially open three new construction projects - completed just in time for the event here at Amaroo.

There is a new Administration building overlooking the lake, a beautiful reception hall next to the Amphitheatre, and more new facilities in the Amphitheatre, including more shade and a bigger stage.

Baran Setup

Today, we are setting up the event in Baran, Rajasthan.  It will be held in the countryside amongst farms and not near a large city.  This is the season for harvesting wheat and the farmers can be seen winnowing wheat in the hot afternoon breeze.

Today we measured a temperature of 45 degrees (113F) in the shade, when we put the thermometer in the sun in front of the stage, it turned black and stopped working.

We are staying in tents this time because there are no accommodations in the area. We didn't expect such a heat and the tents can only be used at night a few hours after the sun has set.  I am impressed by the heartiness of the local farmers and the people setting up the event.  The heat is oppressive yet people continue working.

Dausa is a small city about 55km from Jaipur in Rajasthan. 50,000 or more are expected at the event which is happening in the morning.

A few pix of the venue ground during the setup for the event tomorrow!

50,000 people are expected to attend.  This is the first visit to Nepal since Nov 2000.

My blackberry fell in a puddle today so I don't really have a phone. Then later our car got stuck in the mud and when I was pushing it out my watch fell off and got ran over.  It still works, amazing, but I will need to send it in for repair.

I'm still happy, that's amazing too.

The Himalayas are visible across the city and make a nice backdrop for the event with Maharaji tomorrow!!

The amphitheatre was a construction site for a few days, with the erection of shade covering the whole area.  What does that mean?  Bobcats, cranes, painters, diggers, safety, cement, audio, stage, lighting - all happening somehow in a coordinated way (the word "dance" doesn't seem to fit).

Signs, shuttles, shops, shelving, seats... the screen is here!  A few days late, but now the giant puzzle which was shipped here from India is connected, bigger than ever.  It will play videos during the event here. 

The event!  Guests begin arriving tomorrow.  Over 4,000 people are now coming to the event!  Maharaji is coming!

Things are different here.  The air is clear, unique, a delicious feeling with every breath.  The sky a gorgeous soft blue, the grass, the earth, the trees - everything in hues of Australia.  I wake to birds, not freeway.

Outside event times, you can visit the shady, comfortable practice area, take a Knowledge review, watch specially selected videos or visit the gallery featuring creative expressions in art, imagery and live music. 

Take an early morning walk and catch sight of a wallaby or the gorgeous, brightly coloured, teeny, tiny birds.  Perhaps notice the birds instead of the traffic.  Breathe the crisp morning air.  Admire the dew on the grass and the magically visible 'jewelled' spider webs.

If you need a little help to unwind, a massage pagoda will offer bodywork and therapeutic exercise sessions.  Read excerpts and see photos from each event on the innerlink blog and if you need to, keep in touch at the internet cafe.

The entrance road has been newly sealed, the wattles are starting to bloom, the campgrounds are waiting for their tents, spring is coming and Amaroo is looking forward to welcome you.

It's already full

An hour and a half to go and the hall is already full in the bleachers. 20,000+ people.  Totally packed.  They never got the air conditioning working properly so everyone is fanning themselves. Glad my room has some a/c.

The police opened the doors about an hour early so we didn't have enough time to rehearse properly.  Wearing the clearcom (communication headset) is like listening to chaos in Hindi.

Many VIP's are coming including 25 MP's and the Vice
President of India. That's why the police have taken over.

Not only that, but this event is a live broadcast - as are all of these events.
