Within

20080303sd088 Look in you.  Look in your heart.  And you will find the truest essence of your existence.  Look within you and you will find the most beautiful waters.  Look within you and you will find your solutions.  Look within you and you will find your answers.  Answers to which you don’t even have questions to yet.

The holiest of all scriptures that ever will be, will be in the temple of your heart.

Maharaji

The Thirst

Because there is a thirst, there is the thirsty.  And because there is the thirsty and there is the thirst, water will be found.

People go through some very large things in this world, to find the water.  And why will it be found?  Because the water that you are looking for is within you.  That’s why it’ll be found.  I’m sure there are people, smarty-pants out there, going, “Oh yeah, he’s not right, because there are people who die of thirst in the desert.”  Ha-ha.

In this desert, all you have to do is remove the sand of ignorance anywhere and the purest, most beautiful, clear water will bubble up, anywhere.  You don’t have to go to a particular place.  You don’t have to be looking for an oasis, don’t have to be looking for a well, don’t have to be looking for a river, don’t have to be looking for birds, don’t have to be looking for a clump of trees, don’t have to be looking for anything.  Anywhere in this desert, the world’s most incredible pump, is bringing up the water every time.

Here’s your pump.  Every breath, it’s pumping the most incredible water that’ll quench your thirst, every breath, day and night.

Being Complete

_mbw2485 So here we are in the Spring of 2008.  And the tussle is on.  On one side, the Winter does not want to let go of its hold.  On the other side, the Summer, the warmth, wants to break in.  And this is played out in the skies, the clouds, the lightening, the rainbows, the sun.

And on the ground, are all these delicate beautiful little plants.  And they’re delicate.  They’re fragile.  Last year, during the Fall, they took a gamble.  And their gamble was “Winter will come and, to survive the Winter, we will need to shed our leaves.”  So they did.  But the true gamble was not the Winter.  The true gamble was this - that “Summer will come again and, when the Summer comes again, we will be able to put out our leaves and once again be made whole, complete."

So now they have been ready, prepared, and the slightest hint of this Summer coming has sparked them to start putting those leaves out.  These delicate flowers, these delicate leaves…ready to make that commitment to being complete.

If you have observed this, then my question to you is simply this.  If Spring were to come, are you, too ready to bloom?  Are you prepared to bloom?  Are you ready for the Spring in your life?  Because if you are prepared, if you are ready, then I have some very good news for you. And the news is Spring indeed has come.  Bloom.  Bloom!

A Little Clarity

_mbw2164 A little bit of consciousness, a little bit of clarity. In the midst of all your problems, that’s all you need. Just a little tiny bit.

Because it’s so concentrated, you don’t need a lot of it. Just need a little bit. And if you can have it, it’s good. You know, people think “I need this much clarity,” or, “Oh, all the time.”

How much clarity do you need? Half the thickness of a human hair would be enough. In the middle of your disaster, one-one millionth of a second of saying, “Do you know what’s important to you?” That’s all it takes. Clear. Fog is gone.

_mbw2182 Now you might have to try it again and again till it sinks in, but not that much is needed—to be conscious, to be aware, to appreciate. All the things that you want to appreciate.

You know, when I say appreciate, I’m not talking about this world. Appreciate your TV, appreciate your oven, appreciate. . . people say, “I love my TV.” And I say, “You mean, you like your TV.” You cannot love an object that cannot interact with you. That’s why you need the doctor of the time. That’s why you need the teacher of the time. Because it’s not about words making sense of words. Making sense of philosophies, making sense of ideas. Yes, you have to feel it. You have to really feel it. And that gives birth to understanding.

Free

Happiness doesn’t cost anything. Everything about happiness is free.

When you’re happy, it’s like, “I don’t care. Do I have to call somebody? Do I have to do this? Do I have to do that? Do I have to cry? Do I have to read a book? I. . .” No.  No, you just relax. . . Everything is gorgeous.

Happy

080409mbwtv3Filled to capacity, standing room only, waitlists all satisfied. Everyone gathered today for a very special public program. New and experienced, Young and old, families and friends came from across the world and across the street to hear the words and feel the message of Prem Rawat.

- - - -

In this life, there are good days and there are bad days.  And in good days, I want to be happy.  In good days, I want to feel peace.  In good days, I want to feel like I am alive.  In good days, I want to feel connected to myself.   I want to feel centred.  I want to feel one.  Not two and three, and four and five.

And then there are bad days.  And you know what?  Even in the bad days, I just want to be happy.  I do not come here to try to explain to you the concept of happiness. Nobody can explain to you the concept of happiness.  You know what happiness is.

Happiness isn’t just simply smiling.  Happiness isn’t simply laughing.  Happiness isn’t simply a time of day when you become happy.  Happiness is happiness because you feel good.  Not about something.  See, this is what we think happiness is.  Happiness is feeling happy about something.

Our child passes college, “I am so happy.”  We win a lottery ticket, “I am so happy.”  We get a promotion – “I am so happy.”  Because we think our happiness is associated with all the things in this world.  Somehow, this world is going to make us happy.

And I say to you, there is only one person in this world who can make you happy.  And you know who that is?  Ah.  It happens to be this person that you know very little about.  Strange.  This person that can make you happy – really happy – you don’t really know much about.

You know about your friends. You know a lot about the other people, the other associates, the business colleagues, but very little about yourself.  Who are you?

You are that person who can make you very happy.

Maharaji

In You

080409mbwtv1 Despite all the problems, despite all those things that are wrong in this world, there are some things that are good.  Really, really good.

Of all the ugliness that is in this world, there is also something very, very beautiful.  All the mistakes that have been made in this world, there is one thing that is perfect.  That is not a mistake.

That perfection, that beauty, is right in you.

There are people who like to point out all the problems.  And I am in a way, glad that they do.  But I think there should be some people who should point out the good, the right, the beautiful.

Because this existence that you have, this life that you have – despite all the problems, is beautiful.  Is wonderful.  And sometimes, we forget the importance of being alive.  Caught up in our troubles in our turmoils, in our ideas, in our concepts, we forget what we have been given.

Look at the desert.  The time to see the desert is not in summer.  But when it rains.  Because mysteriously, even the desert holds in it the promise of beautiful life.  Of delicate, tender flowers.  But it needs the rain.

Without rain, the rivers don’t flow.  They hold their shape.  The water has come in the desert and carved the shape.  And that river – that dry rivers waits.  And waits.  And patiently waits for it to rain again, and once again, for the water to flow through it.  It is ready.

Who are we?  What are we?  And we the sum of all these things that happen around us?  Or is there something more?  The sum of waking up in the morning, and realizing one’s responsibilities – "I have to do this, I have to do this, I have to do this…"  Or - there is something inside each human being that wants to smile.  That wants to be thankful.  To feel gratitude.  To feel joy.

To feel alive.

The Essence

_mbw1814Every day, every moment, everything that this life brings to me, to you – to every person on the face of this earth - it's all gifts.  The gifts of joy, the gifts of understanding, the gifts of growth.  Of course, we only look at it from our little perspectives.

My little story.  My little window.  How big is the ocean?  Well, sometimes, it’s only as big as your window is.

Then someone comes along, and says, “You know, you should really come out on the balcony.  Don’t look at it though the window.  There is no reason to look at it through the window.  There is no reason to limit your view of understanding.”  Because without passion, you cannot have compassion.

And without compassion, you cannot have understanding.  And of course, this goes on.  This goes on.  But, do you have a passion?  And what is your passion for?  Do you have a passion for that gratitude?  Do you have a passion for that acceptance?  Do you have a passion for this life?

People ask the question, “What is the point of all of this?”  The point is actually amazing, if you have ever allowed yourself to feel it.  Your being on the face of this earth is not by any means insignificant.

You may feel incredibly insignificant.  But don’t.  Because within you resides the essence of every single scripture ever written.  Within you are the answers to all the questions in this world that have been asked, and will be asked and are being asked.

Touched with Admiration

_mbw1758

From around the world, people came to hear Maharaji speak of the most exquisite, priceless peace of the heart.

- - - -

Peace on this earth is not going to come from logic.  Because everyone is right.  No one is wrong.  People standing on the left side of the street, point at the people on the right side of the street, and go, “They’re wrong.”  People on the right side, point at the people on the left side, and go, “They’re wrong.”  And you know what?  They are both right.

Peace on this earth is not going to come from logic, because if it could, it would already be here.  What have we not tried yet?  We have not yet tried compassion.  Compassion for my existence.  Compassion for your existence.  Compassion for each human being on the face of this earth.  Not logic, but compassion.

_mbw1805 From that compassion, comes understanding.  I understand.  And from that understanding comes growth.  Personal growth.

What is personal growth?  You know, if you are on the bottom deck of the boat, you see not much.  You come up one level, you see a bit more.  You come up another floor, you see a little bit more.  Till you get all the way up into the crows nest.  That’s what personal growth is.  Its not trying to create the scenery.  Its having the vantage point of the vision, so you can see what is there.  Why?  Because then comes admiration.

I admire.  And when you are touched with admiration, then gratitude is not far behind. Then comes gratitude.  Then what happens?  When you get gratitude, then what happens?  Ah.  Then, you get passion.  And then what happens?  Ah, then you get compassion.  And then what happens?  Then you have understanding.  And the cycle continues.  And it evolves.  And who evolves in this cycle?  You evolve in this cycle.  In this cycle of gratitude, of compassion, of understanding, of growth.  All these.  All these become your friends.
