A little bit of consciousness, a little bit of clarity. In the midst of all your problems, that’s all you need. Just a little tiny bit.
Because it’s so concentrated, you don’t need a lot of it. Just need a little bit. And if you can have it, it’s good. You know, people think “I need this much clarity,” or, “Oh, all the time.”
How much clarity do you need? Half the thickness of a human hair would be enough. In the middle of your disaster, one-one millionth of a second of saying, “Do you know what’s important to you?” That’s all it takes. Clear. Fog is gone.
Now you might have to try it again and again till it sinks in, but not that much is needed—to be conscious, to be aware, to appreciate. All the things that you want to appreciate.
You know, when I say appreciate, I’m not talking about this world. Appreciate your TV, appreciate your oven, appreciate. . . people say, “I love my TV.” And I say, “You mean, you like your TV.” You cannot love an object that cannot interact with you. That’s why you need the doctor of the time. That’s why you need the teacher of the time. Because it’s not about words making sense of words. Making sense of philosophies, making sense of ideas. Yes, you have to feel it. You have to really feel it. And that gives birth to understanding.
