Somebody said, ‘”We all came from the same place. And we landed in the same place. But as soon as the wind of the world hit us, we became fragmented.” “This is mine, that’s yours.” Fragmented. I speak English, you speak a different language.
How do we look at people? We actually don’t know how to look at a person. We have no idea. When we look at a person, we say, “Young. Old.” “Indian. American. Italian. Chinese. Japanese. African.”
You know, it’s amazing. People look at a Louis Vuitton bag, and they don’t simply see a bag. They go, “Nice.” We look at a human being, we don’t go, “Nice.” We go, “Where are you from?” This is the wind of the world. We have forgotten how to view a human being. Forget about other people. We have forgotten how to view ourselves. We don’t know. We see a face in the mirror, and when we see this face in the mirror, we are not looking at the face. We see the imperfections. Hair. Beard.
So I ask you, who are you? You came, and it was an incredible miracle. Today, people think if milk comes from the ceiling, “Miracle.” That’s not a miracle. You see, that’s relative. If it is your neighbors’ house that is leaking milk, that is a miracle. But if it is your bedroom ceiling that is leaking milk, ha. It is inconvenient.
What is a miracle? I will tell you what a miracle is. You are a miracle. And that’s not only one miracle. The fact that you are alive is a miracle. Do you know that? Do you even understand that? And then, this breath comes into you every day – that’s a miracle. And that you exist is a miracle. And you feel – that’s a miracle. And you can know. That’s a miracle. You can understand. That’s a miracle.
Have I overstepped my boundary, redefining miracles for you? I am sorry, I am not here to redefine things. I am here to stir up enough things in you so you will have the courage to look at things the way they really are. That’s all.
Reality is beautiful. Because in that reality, in the heart of every single human being – and I mean every single human being - dances the desire to be in peace. Not your definition of peace, but the real peace. The peace that is within you.
